Emily Leminger is a senior at Buffalo State studying music. She will obtain her bachelor of arts in music in spring 2016.
Leminger serves as the College Council's student representative for the 2015–2016 academic year. She is a University College representative on the SUNY Student Assembly's Executive Cabinet and is on the Intercollegiate Athletics Board. Emily has served on the search committee for the associate vice president for enrollment management and on the committee for the President and SUNY Chancellor's awards for excellence.
Leminger is involved in the United Students Government, previously serving as a senator and administrative vice president for academic affairs and currently serving as the executive vice president and chief operating officer. She is a member of the College Senate; the Student Welfare Committee at Buffalo State; the Music Department Chair’s Student Advisory Committee; the National Association for Music Educators; and the Pride Alliance.
Leminger currently volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erie County, the Buffalo City Mission, refugee centers, and community clean-up projects.
Leminger is a recipient of the 2014–2015 “Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities Award” as well as the “President’s Accommodation Award” for her service.
She was born and raised in Buffalo, NY, and hopes to continue working in the local community after graduation.
