Leslie Zemsky

Leslie ZemskyLeslie Zemsky is a partner in the Larkin Development Group. The Larkin Development Group has led the revival of the Larkin District through the redevelopment of a million square feet of mixed use space and the creation of an open-to-the-public gathering space called Larkin Square.

Known as the “Director of Fun,” Zemsky has played an integral role in the growth of Larkinville, overseeing events attracting more than 130,000 people each season to Larkin Square. Popular events include Food Truck Tuesdays, Live at Larkin Wednesdays, and the Larkin Square Author Series. Zemsky’s artistic and creative touch is experienced with public art throughout Larkinville, including Larkin Links, an artist designed nano-size golf course; (716) GAL-LERY, Buffalo’s smallest art gallery inside the Hydraulic Hearth Restaurant & Brewery; and her personally created art.

An active member in her community, Zemsky currently serves as a member of the board of Visit Buffalo Niagara and is the former president of the board of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery. In 2013, she was named an Outstanding Citizen by the Buffalo News.

Throughout her life she has involved herself in community projects and organizations including service as a former trustee of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery; Advancing Arts and Culture Buffalo Niagara; the Erie County Cultural Resource Advisory Board; the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo; Elmwood Franklin School; Nichols School; Temple Beth Zion; and the Maria Love Convalescent Fund Board.

A resident of Buffalo, Leslie and her husband, Howard, are the proud parents of three children, Kayla, Harry, and David.
