Established in 1871, Buffalo State College's long history and commitment to education are the cornerstones of its respected reputation.

The college offers 80 undergraduate majors, 64 graduate programs, and numerous minors and certificates in education, the arts, science, and professional studies. Buffalo is the second largest city in the state of New York. As SUNY’s only urban comprehensive college, Buffalo State’s mission grows directly from its location in the heart of Buffalo’s vibrant Elmwood Village.

The college educates nearly 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students each year and has an alumni population of 100,000.
