"I am deeply saddened to share that Samira Mohamed, a former Buffalo State student, tragically passed away in a fire today. On behalf of the entire Buffalo State University community, I express my heartfelt condolences to the Mohamed family and Samira’s beloved friends."

Counseling services are available for registered students who are struggling with this difficult news and are seeking support during this time of loss. The Counseling Center, which is located on the second floor of Weigel Health Center, can be reached by phone at (716) 878-4436. Students can also call the 24/7 Bengal Support Line at 833-823-0260 to speak with a counselor for immediate support.
