Tickets on Sale for Trio of Eclipse-Related Events at Buffalo State

Buffalo State University has announced additional major events leading up to its signature Eclipse Fest on Monday, April 8, at Coyer Field.

In addition to Eclipse Fest, the university will feature speaker Fred Espenak, known as "Mr. Eclipse," on Thursday, February 15, in the Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall, and the Eclipse & Sips Beer-Tasting Event on Friday, March 8, in the Science and Mathematics Complex atrium.

"I am pleased Buffalo State will be providing these opportunities to learn about, celebrate, and take part in this once-in-a-lifetime event," said Kevin Williams, associate professor of geosciences and director of the Whitworth Ferguson Planetarium. "As an anchor institution here in Buffalo and Western New York, Buffalo State University is helping our students and the public prepare for and get excited about this amazing event."

Details about the three eclipse-related events:

Experiencing Totality - The Great Total Eclipse of 2024

Fred Espenak, known as "Mr. Eclipse," previews the 2024 eclipse. The astrophysicist emeritus at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center has published over a dozen books on solar eclipses and is regarded and one of the world's experts on the topic.

Where: Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall.

When: 7:30 p.m. Thursday, February 15.

Eclipse & Sips Beer-Tasting Event

Join your favorite breweries from Western New York for an eclipse-themed evening. Get a souvenir tasting glass, beer samples, appetizers, and more. Planetarium shows and other activities are included.

Where: Science and Mathematics Complex atrium.

When: 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday, March 8.

Tickets: $100 VIP package (limited availability, including a dedicated brew master and an exclusive swag bag), $50 general admission, $25 designated driver. On sale now.


Eclipse Fest at Buffalo State University

Experience the Great North American Eclipse from a special viewing area at this excitement-filled event. Enjoy food trucks, entertainment, eclipse-related activities and demonstrations, plus eclipse souvenirs. Feel the energy of viewing this once-in-a-lifetime experience with your fellow attendees guided by Buffalo State University experts.

Where: Coyer Field and Sports Arena.

When: 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Monday, April 8.

Tickets: $125 VIP package (limited availability, including reserved parking and seating, plus private reception area with open bar), $40 general admission (reduced price of $35 each when purchasing four tickets). On sale now.
