We want to share with you immediately news from SUNY Chancellor John B. King Jr. about the leadership transition at Buffalo State University. Dr. Bonita Durand has agreed to lead the campus through the 2025–2026 academic year until a new president is appointed. The appointment of Dr. Chance Glenn has been rescinded.
SUNY Chancellor John B. King Jr. said: “We are grateful for Dr. Durand’s wisdom and service. As interim president, Dr. Durand has provided seamless leadership in enhancing student success and moving the campus toward financial sustainability. I am grateful that Dr. Durand will continue implementing that work, which will also allow time for a full search for the next campus president.”
Buffalo State Council President Linda Dobmeier said: “I want to thank Interim President Durand for her dedication and service to the Buffalo State community. I look forward to her continued support for our students and campus in our efforts to achieve excellence.”
Buffalo State University Interim President Dr. Bonita Durand said: “It is an honor to continue to serve the Buffalo State students, faculty, and staff—a community I have been proud to be part of for more than 20 years.
