Institutional Grants
Bengal Experience Grant
Up to $4,000
$1,000 per year when you visit Buffalo State once!
Beginning fall 2023, our Bengal Experience Grant encourages prospective students and families to experience Buffalo State firsthand by attending any single admissions event, such as open house, admitted student days, or virtual visits as part of their search process. It truly does pay to visit Buffalo State University!
Destination Buffalo State University Grant
Up to $38,000
$9,500 per year for students paying out-of-state tuition
Beginning fall 2023, Buffalo State is proud to announce that out-of-state and international students will be eligible for the Destination Buffalo State Grant. This award is for full-time, first-year students who do not qualify for in-state tuition rates as a resident of New York State and who choose to live on campus while attending Buffalo State.
Bengal Promise Grant
Up to $12,000
$3,000 per year when you live on campus
Beginning fall 2023, our Bengals thrive when they are living within the bengal community as part of our residence life program. This grant is our “promise” to prospective students and families that we will continue to make a Buffalo State education while living on campus more affordable. This award is designed for full-time, first-year students entering Buffalo State who choose to live on campus while attending Buffalo State.
To be eligible for these grants, recipients must be first-time freshmen planning to attend full-time (registered for 12 or more credit hours).
