Posted: Monday, January 19, 2026Due to anticipation of continued severe weather conditions, Buffalo State has canceled in-person activities for Tuesday, Jan. 20. Online classes will continue as scheduled.New York State agencies have been instructed to have non-essential and essential-remote employees who live or work in Erie County work via telecommuting Tuesday, where possible. Please discuss arrangements with your supervisor.Essential staff should report to work as directed.Those non-essential employees who cannot telecommute are subject to a directed absence for Tuesday without charge to leave accruals.Buffalo State is continuing to monitor the weather conditions and may provide further updates.

Please discuss arrangements with your supervisor.Essential staff should report to work as directed.The City of Buffalo has issued a warning for no unnecessary travel. The National Weather Service has issued winter storm warnings that remain in effect through Wednesday afternoon.Buffalo State is continuing to monitor the conditions and may provide further updates.
