Durand Named Interim President

Dr. Bonita R. Durand has been named interim president by the SUNY Board of Trustees. Durand will serve in this role until the appointment of a permanent president. 

A nationwide search is well underway to identify the next President of Buffalo State University. During this time, a team committed to ensuring a smooth transition for the success of the interim president as well as the incoming president has been put in place.

When the Buffalo Normal School opened its doors to its first class, the school's sole purpose was to train teachers to serve Buffalo's fast-growing student population in the public schools.
