What You'll Learn
This Foundations of Career and Technical Education (CTE) microcredential provides you with the pedagogical foundation necessary to teach career, technical and trade subjects.
You will explore educational psychology and gain essential skills in curriculum development; pedagogy, including teaching strategies that support students with disabilities; and in both student and program evaluation and assessment. You will understand classroom management as well as classroom design to support hands-on learning. You will have the opportunity to apply your skills in the classroom with an optional Student Teaching experience.

Depending on your education and/or work experience, you may also be ready to apply to the New York State Education Department to become CTE certified.
