Kyle Bradstreet's new Marvel show is called Secret Invasion.

Fontana (Oz, Homicide: Life on the Street) will take part in a panel discussion with longtime casting executive Rosalie Joseph (The Godfather Part III, The Blue Lagoon), moderated by Jeffrey Hirschberg, Buffalo State associate professor of television and film arts. The discussion will begin at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, September 28, in Ciminelli Recital Hall in Rockwell Hall.

“Events like these are so important for our students," Annas said. “Often, students see their dream careers as being just that—dreams. But when students have a chance to interact with legendary industry professionals who once stood in their shoes, they begin to understand there is a formula and a path to successful careers as storytellers and artists.”

“The Buffalo State community is in for a treat,” Hirschberg said. “The opportunity to learn from award-winning TV writer/producers and an acclaimed casting director is priceless.”

Additionally, Bradstreet and Joseph will be attending television, film, and theater classes and offering workshops for Buffalo State students during the week.

Bradstreet studied English and theater at Buffalo State before continuing his education by enrolling in Buffalo State’s multidisciplinary studies master’s program. After graduation, Bradstreet moved to New York City and worked as a production assistant on several of Fontana’s TV series.

Fontana, recipient of the Buffalo State Distinguished Alumnus Award in 1987, started as a theater major at Buffalo State before embarking on his award-winning career.

“Buffalo State’s television and film arts program has helped hundreds of students begin careers in the entertainment industry,” Hirschberg said. “The TFA Visiting Artist Series is another way industry professionals give back to the Buffalo State community.”
