
Several Buffalo State University alumnae and one former staff member were recently honored by Buffalo Business First, a Buffalo-based business journal, among its IDEA Award winners. The annual distinction celebrates champions of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Awareness in the workplace and the community.
Crystal Rodriguez-Dabney, former Buffalo State chief of staff and chief diversity officer at Buffalo State, is one of this year’s winners. Rodriguez-Dabney is currently the senior vice president and chief diversity officer at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Institute.
The winners’ list also includes five Buffalo State alumnae:
- Brielynn Bell, ’13, diversity specialist at Goldberg Segalla
- Briandi Little, ’13, manager of inclusion and engagement for Kaleida Health
- Ashley Goodwin Lowe, ’09, ’11, lead advisor, DEI at Ingram Micro
- Franchelle Parker, ’04, founding executive director of Open Buffalo
- Adriane Williams, ’03, assistant director of academic advisement at Daemen University
The 20 winners will be recognized at a dinner on February 13.
The IDEA Awards are presented by Buffalo Business First, along with platinum sponsors M&T Bank and Phillips Lytle LLP.
