Buffalo State alumnae and former staff member honored among Business First’s IDEA Award winners

Several Buffalo State University alumnae and one former staff member were recently honored by Buffalo Business First, a Buffalo-based business journal, among its IDEA Award winners. The annual distinction celebrates champions of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Awareness in the workplace and the community. 

Crystal Rodriguez-Dabney, former Buffalo State chief of staff and chief diversity officer at Buffalo State, is one of this year’s winners. Rodriguez-Dabney is currently the senior vice president and chief diversity officer at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Institute.

The winners’ list also includes five Buffalo State alumnae:

  • Brielynn Bell, ’13, diversity specialist at Goldberg Segalla 
  • Briandi Little, ’13, manager of inclusion and engagement for Kaleida Health 
  • Ashley Goodwin Lowe, ’09, ’11, lead advisor, DEI at Ingram Micro 
  • Franchelle Parker, ’04, founding executive director of Open Buffalo 
  • Adriane Williams, ’03, assistant director of academic advisement at Daemen University 

The 20 winners will be recognized at a dinner on February 13.

The IDEA Awards are presented by Buffalo Business First, along with platinum sponsors M&T Bank and Phillips Lytle LLP.
