Nine with ties to Buffalo State honored among Business First’s 40 Under 40

Nine Western New York leaders with ties to Buffalo State University were recently honored by Buffalo Business First, a Buffalo-based business journal, on its 2025 40 Under 40 list. This annual distinction recognizes Western New York professionals who are younger than age 40, successful in their professions and involved in their communities. This year’s honorees were chosen from 280 nominations, the largest group of nominations in at least a decade, making the distinction even more significant.

The list included:

Bashir Ansari, ’09, vice president, product developer for Enterprise Date Office, Citi/co-executive director, SOLID Foundation Prep Inc.

April Contreras, ’12,  product manager, New York Power Authority

Jennifer White, ’08, ’12, marketing and communications manager, Lexington Co-Op Markets                    

This year’s winners will be celebrated at a luncheon November 20 at the Hyatt Regency sponsored by Cornerstone Community Federal Credit Union.
