Buffalo State College wrapped up its four-week celebration of Black History Month 2020 with a keynote address by Crystal M. Fleming, Ph.D., associate professor of sociology and Africana studies at Stony Brook University and the author of two books about race and white supremacy, on February 25. Galen Abdur-Razzaq (pictured top), renowned flutist and spoken-word artist, kicked off the month with his lecture and performance "Jazz and the Civil Rights Movement" on February 5. Other events included a Toni Morrison Read-In and a plethora of thought-provoking workshops, discussions, and activities presented by academic departments and student groups from a wide range of disciplines.

Campus photographer Bruce Fox captured the celebration along the way and prepared a gallery of highlights on the college’s Photography Services website.
