The leadership minor program is designed for all students interested in studying and applying leadership theory and practice. The leadership minor supports the mission of Buffalo State in preparing a diverse population of students for leadership roles and responsibilities in a challenging world. The minor serves as a nexus for connecting and integrating the insights of a variety of disciplines in understanding the complex phenomenon of leadership. Out of multiple modes of inquiry, students acquire frameworks that guide creative and critical thinking, and inform the practice of leadership in any setting, organization, or context.
Leadership is about what you do, not who you are. All people possess the capacity to lead and influence others in a positive way. More than ever before organizations and employers are looking for creative leaders who can help their organization to be more effective and to grow. The world-renowned program at Buffalo State develops creative-leadership skills in all students.
A minor in leadership is a wonderful addition to any major, and enables students to be more competitive in the job market. To apply for the Leadership minor or for additional information about these courses, contact the Creativity and Change Leadership Department.
