About the Program

This Advanced Foundations of Career and Technical Education (CTE) microcredential builds on the skills gained in the Foundations of CTE microcredential and is designed to support practicing educators who hold initial CTE Certification in New York State. You will strengthen skills in instruction and assessment across common career and technical fields, with a specific focus on literacy. You will also study facility design and management to accommodate the hands-on instructional needs of technical education. Successful completion of this microcredential readies you to continue your education at the undergraduate or graduate levels. In addition to academic and/or work experience requirements, certification requires completion of mandatory workshops and fingerprinting.
