With its state-of-the-art teaching facilities and labs, Buffalo State is the home for applied science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) programs in Western New York. With its multi-story glass atrium, research labs and teaching facilities, greenhouses, and outdoor classroom area and gardens, the state-of-the-art Science and Mathematics Complex (SAMC) supports all facets of student learning.
The Whitworth Ferguson Planetarium's state-of-the-art software and projection systems present opportunities for visualizations of the night sky and far beyond. Visitors explore topics in the sciences, dance, theater, art, music, technology, communication, history, and more in a 360-degree, visually immersive experience!
The facility includes smart-grid laboratories, research spaces, and computer labs with cutting-edge equipment, including a fabric printer and a 3D printer that enables students and researchers to produce working models or prototypes.
