May 1 Priority deadline to secure your spot at Buffalo State
Note: Students are encouraged to secure their spot by May 1 or 30 days after acceptance, whichever date is later.
June 1 Priority housing deadline
July 6 – July 24 New student orientation sessions (register though your applicant portal)
July 7 Fall 2026 charges begin to show on your Banner account (after you register for classes)
July 28 First fall billing scheduled (sent to your Buffalo State e-mail)
August 26 New student move-in (if living on campus)
Note: Students in Roar 2 Success (R2S) will be moving into their assigned residence hall on August 16.
August 31 First day of classes for Fall 2026 semester
August 31 Fall semester bill due

  • April 1: Registration for EOP Summer Academy opens
  • June 28: Registration for EOP Summer Academy closes
  • July 12 – August 8: EOP Summer Academy
    • July 12: Student move-in and family programs
    • July 12 – August 7: Academic courses for EOP students
    • August 8: Student move-out (by 9:00am)
  • July 1: Priority deadline to reserve your spot in R2S program
  • July 31: Deadline to complete your introduction meeting and register for fall classes
  • August 8: Deadline to meet with Financial Aid Office
  • August 16: R2S student move-in
  • August 16 – 25: Attend the R2S Summer Bridge Program

Below is a suggested timeline for you to complete the items in your accepted student checklist.

May

  • May 1: Priority deadline to submit your Admissions Reply Form and tuition deposit (if applicable). (Completed though your applicant portal.)
  • Set up your Buffalo State online accounts.
  • Prepare for course registration. (Completed though your applicant portal.)
  • Submit your health and immunization records.

June

  • June 1: Priority deadline to submit your online housing and meal plan application.
  • Sign up for orientation - mandatory for all incoming students! (Register though your applicant portal.)

July

  • Submit proof of high school completion.
  • Submit proof of AP/IB/CLEP/college coursework.
  • Submit final college transcript.

August

  • Prepare for new student move-in.
  • August 31: Fall 2026 semester begins
