Registration

Using Banner to Register

Students must use the official Buffalo State Banner Student Information System to register for courses each semester.

Registration Dates

Start and end dates for registration will be e-mailed each semester. Once registration has opened, students will be eligible to register continuously until registration closes.

Students are expected to complete registration within two weeks after they become eligible to register and to attend the first meeting of all classes in which they have enrolled.

Register for Classes

Select "Student" then select "Registration"
Select "Add or Drop Classes"
Select the semester
Select "Class search" to find and add classes
After finding your desired class, check box and select "Register"

View Class Schedule

Select "Student"
Select "Registration"
Select "View Required Books, Course Materials, and Printable Schedule"
Select the semester

Order Your Textbooks

From your class schedule screen
Select the orange GO! button at the top of the screen (goes to BuffaloState Bookstore website)
View your books for each class
Purchase your books

Barnes & Noble at Buffalo State Bookstore

View Grades

Select "Student"
Select "Registration'
Select 'View Required Books, Course Materials, and Printable Schedule'
Select the semester

Financial Aid

Federal Aid

Students enrolled in an eligible program may be eligible for federal financial aid.

To apply for federal aid, file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) annually.

State Aid

New York State TAP is only available to postbaccalaureate students in a teacher certification program taking undergraduate coursework.

Accepting Financial Aid

Start at your Bannerweb home screen
Select "Financial Aid" then "Financial Aid Status"
Select the current award year
Select "Awarded," to review and accept your financial aid award
