Enrichment Programs
Muriel A. Howard Honors Program
The Muriel A. Howard Honors Program is a challenging opportunity for outstanding, intellectually committed undergraduate students. A supplemental application for the Muriel A. Howard Honors Program is sent to those students who meet the criteria for the program.
Study Abroad
Buffalo State's International Education Office coordinates international study programs in Australia, Canada, England, the Netherlands, Puerto Rico, and Spain as well as the venerable Siena (Italy) Program, SUNY's first and oldest study-abroad program. Students may also choose from programs in more than 60 countries through Buffalo State and SUNY international education partnerships.
Perseverance
Students deemed ineligible for admission to Buffalo State may be referred to the community college sector for their first year of undergraduate study. Those students are encouraged to transfer as sophomores after successful completion of full-time coursework (at least four full-credit courses per semester) with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 for possible consideration.
